Definitely doesn't love the dentist.....

If you know Dan well at all, you'll know that he hates going to the dentist about as much as he hates flying..... well, this morning was NO FUN for him. Since he's left the emergency clinic, he needed to get as much out of his insurance coverage as he could, while he was still under their policy, so last week, he went to Dr. Ortman to get a routine check up and cleaning. He said that it was the worst dentist experience of his life..... it hurt and it took a long time, and he was sore afterwards. BUT, that wasn't the end of it. Because of his constant grinding of his teeth while he is sleeping, he had a couple of chips that needed repaired, which they promptly got him back in this morning for.

It was even LESS fun than the cleaning, and his mouth is numb all over, and he can't talk, or eat. He sent me this picture this morning, of his paralyzed right side of his face. Poor guy! I got a text from him a couple hours later, indicating that his mouth was getting MORE numb, not less. He might be that way for a while, just hopefully not permanently. :)

The Newest Black Belt

I've definitely been absent from the blogging world lately.... but wanted to take a quick second to share this photo. My cousin Kristie sent this to me yesterday.... a picture of her daughter Lauren proudling wearing her black belt. She has been taking karate for quite some time now, and recently received her black belt.

While she was visiting Indiana (they live in Houston) last summer, she showed us some of her "moves"..... I definitely wouldn't want to mess with her! :) Congratulations, Lauren! We're very proud of you! Love you!

Remember him???

Remember our mean cat, Freeney? Well, things haven't changed. :) He's still mean as ever.... and even BIT Dan yesterday. Drew blood and all. What a shit. This picture says it all. I was trying to get him to let me pet him, and Dan was trying to take a picture at the same time. I'm laughing at him, while he maintains this look of "I will attack you!" Hahaha!!! :)

And as for Fergie? Well, she still thinks that the litter box is a sandbox for her to play in, she still really wants nothing to do with Dan, and still sleeps with me when Dan's not home. Well, actually, they BOTH sleep with me when Dan's not home.....

They're getting to be harder and harder to tell apart, so we rely heavily on their personalities to tell the difference between them. Hahaha!

Anyway, just thought I would share!

P.S. We might have a minor problem in the upcoming weeks.... as they're not going to get to have Dan's side of the bed anymore..... if you haven't already heard, he's officially done at the emergency clinic on May 1. WOO HOO!! This has been long awaited, and we both couldn't be happier!!

Happy 92nd Birthday Grandma Crowe!

Today is Grandma Crowe's 92nd Birthday!
Grandma Crowe is one of the most amazing people that I have ever met in my life.... She holds a very special place in Dan and I's hearts.... and we love her very much! She's always smiling and laughing, and the love that she has for her family is immeasurable..... She is a wonderful person, and we would love to wish her a very Happy Birthday!!!

If you couldn't tell, Grandma is always up for a fun time! This is a picture of her and Dan at Long John Silvers in Logansport one day, on one of their lunch and grocery shopping trips. I laugh outloud every time I see this picture, as it's a perfect representation of Granny (Nana) and her personality. Love her to death!

Been a while.....

Okay, so it's been MORE than just a "while".... :) It's been FOREVER!

I promised myself (several times, actually) that I was going to get back into blogging, but it seems that one thing or another gets ahold of me, and next thing you know, I am way behind. Sometimes to the point that I am overwhelmed, and don't know where to start. So, I will only try to re-hash those things that have happened recently, and not delve back into the previous three months.....

We're excited for Spring to get here, and we're definitely looking forward to warmer weather! I'm DYING to open the windows in the sunroom and sit out there and relax a little bit! Also, we've booked a trip for Spring Break with Trevor!

As he gets older and older, we figure that the days of him wanting (liking) to go on vacation with us is becoming fewer and farther between. So, we decided to go all out this year and take him on a great trip. The only requirement that I had was that it was somewhere warm!

I've been cruising several times in the past, but Dan and Trevor have never been. So, we started looking into cruises, to different destinations, and nowhere in particular. Ends up, we found an awesome deal on a cruise that leave out of Ft. Lauderdale and is 8 days! We hadn't intended to go on one that was so long, but for the price, we couldn't turn it down! The ports of call were also especially appealing to us, too: Limon, Costa Rica, Colon, Panama, and Belize! I've never been to any of those places, so I'm super excited about it.

In addition, a couple of days ago, Dan and Trevor together worked on a school project of his about a foreign country. Trevor picked Belize. It's always been a place that he would like to visit, so he was excited to finally get to do that! I've agreed to take him zip lining through the rainforest in Costa Rica, and we really want to visit the barrier reef in Belize and snorkel. (Did you know that it is the second largest barrier reef in the world, aside from Australia? Haven't quite decided what our shore excursion will be in Panama yet, but we're looking forward to it ALL, nonetheless.......

Let the countdown begin!
