Printer Problems

My friend Lori sent this to me via email this past week. I am convinced that this HAS to be Ole' Freens' brother...... for those of you who know our cat, I am sure that you understand.

Happy Monday!

Farewell Baker.....

One of my nearest and dearest friends in the world, Baker, is getting deployed to Afghanistan sometime in the next couple of months. We've known this for a while, but weren't certain of the exact date. His wife, Leslie, (who is one of my besties, too!) threw him a farewell party this past weekend at their house in Avon. It was a great time, but it was a very bittersweet celebration. It's great to have such a great group of friends.

Baker, we love you and support you for what it is that you do. We are going to miss you, and pray for your safe return. We appreciate you and respect and honor your bravery and dedication to us and our country. Much love! ~Dan and Sarah~

Here are some pictures from the evening:

Myself, Leslie and Elizabeth

Elizabeth and I. Extreme close-up. She was really into taking close-ups of people that night, for some reason. We have several.

Some of the guys. (Minus a few.) Jim, Mark, Sheller, Wes, and Brent

Two of my favorites.....Jamie and Leslie

Elizabeth and Jamie. This was the point in the evening when there was a smudge on the lens of the camera......that was there for quite some time.

Dan and Jim. Our friend Jim just got BACK from a deployment overseas. This was the first time that I have seen him since he's been back, although Dan has seen him and his cutie girlfriend, Amanda, several times. Welcome Home, Jim. Thank YOU, and we love YOU, too!

Me and the man of the hour.....still with the aforementioned smudge. :)

AAAAnnnnnddd the next morning. Baker and Dan just couldn't handle getting up so early, so they retreated back to Baker and Leslie's bed for some more zzz's. That is Dan under the covers, there. :) Ha!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter weekend with our families. :) Dan was off, but was on call this weekend, but luckily, he didn't end up having to go into work. Praise the Lord for that! We spent Sunday afternoon, after church, with my family in Twelve Mile at my parent's house. We missed the Easter Egg hunt for the little ones, which they all did on Saturday afternoon...... But we did catch up with them on Sunday afternoon for a little while.

Dan and I tried forever to get the good Easter pictures with my niece and nephew. Olivia would NOT put down Barney and B.J....... mostly because she didn't want Papaw to hold them. She cried when we tried to take them away. And Gage was having difficulting looking at my mom, who was taking the picture. However, we did end up with this one, that wasn't TOO bad. :) I suppose in 10 years, I'll laugh at the rememberance of Olivia refusing to put down the Barney dolls. :)

Here is Gage with my dad. His little Easter outfit is SO CUTE, and he had a little hat that my mom put on him. He's such a good, happy baby. I got some great pictures of him from Elizabeth this weekend. They're his 6 month pictures. I'm going to have to figure out how to get them on here and share them, because they are ADORABLE!!! :)

Saturday evening, we spent the evening with Dan's family at his Dad and Becky's house. It was a lot of fun, and the kids all had a great time, too. :) Here is Dan with Sydney and Aisha, his nieces. :)

And of course, he and Sky, showing their love for one another.... :) Ha!

The boys spent the afternoon playing games of P-I-G and H-O-R-S-E out in the driveway. Grandma Crowe couldn't stay away, so John got her a blanket, and she sat outside and watched them play basketball. I think it made her day!

Becky had an easter egg hunt for the little kids. Part of the yard was designated for Tate, who is the youngest. The other part of the yard was for the older girls, and the front yard was for the teenagers. :) THAT is good planning. Here is Sydney, Tate, and Aisha with their loot.

Tate.....look at those blue eyes. :) TOO CUTE!!

And Eddie and I......

Hope eveyone had a great Easter! We always love spending time with our families. :)
Much love!

Good Morning, Airport!

Good morning airport its been a while.

Hello man with the pants two sizes too small. Nice to meet your package.

I can hear you, loud-talking-ear-piece-wearing-pacing business man. I'm so glad I'm on your flight because I can tell you are a very important person.

Pardon me sir, I didn't mean to get in the way of loading your skis on the shuttle bus from the parking lot. Don't worry it was just my face. I will make sure not to wear my invisible suit next time.

Thank you Potbelly for that lard infused egg and cheese bagel you sold me. My jelly belly thanks you and so do my bowels.

Sorry I can't stay longer but I'm on my way to lovely Philadelphia. But not without a three hour delay in Cincinnati first.

I'll be back home Friday, I will be sure to wait 25 minutes for the economy bus back to the parking lot, and then forget which bus stop is closest to my car. See you then!

McDonalds Play Date

Occasionally, I get to pick up the kiddos (Olivia and Gage) from daycare. I love doing this.....because I love walking into Olivia's classroom and seeing her face light up when she sees me, and the run across the room shouting "TITI!!! TITI!!!" This week was no different. :)

Normally, we just go straight home, and we play at the house until their Mom gets home from work. This week, however, was different. See, when Dan has to work in the evening (which is 4 days per month), we meet at the McDonalds by his work for a quick sweet tea and chat for 30 minutes or so before he heads to work. Usually that's the only opportunity that we have to see each other on those days. We've never attempted to take the kids to McDonalds, and feared what the playplace might bring.

But last night, we ventured out for it. And I must say, it ended up better than expected. Well, at least while Dan was there. Olivia got her "nuggets" and ate two of them. Gage played happily in his carseat. Of course, Livi wanted to get on the play equipment (which, by the way, I find incredibly disgusting.....and germy) and she wanted "Yunkle DAaaaaan" to help her. He crawled around on there the best a 36 year old (er - I mean 28 year old) can, but it's not really conducive to people over 3 feet tall or 40 pounds. :) She met a new friend, who was about 8, who helped her the rest of the way up to get on the slide. She was doing just fine, and having fun.

Then, Dan had to leave. Of course, she wanted to go with him. About this time, I was feeding Gage his bottle, and he was less than thrilled with being there, as it was pretty noisy, and some kids kept opening the emergency exit door, which produced a shrill, loud alarm sound that the 15 year old who worked there couldn't figure out how to disengage. Dan had to leave, and no more than he got out of the door, that Olivia had to go potty, of course. Here I am, sitting at a table that was obviously designed for 5'6" 120 pound soccer moms. A diaper bag, carseat, childrens coats, my purse, my coat, and some various toy items of Gage's. I'm holding him, he's fussing, and I know that I have to get Olivia to the bathroom before she wets all over herself, and the floor right there in the playplace. (Hey, she's only 2, people. She's not really great at holding it, yet.)

Of course, the potty in the play area was occupied by another toddler, so we had to truck through the McDonalds to the adult bathroom, where the stools are way too high, and I have to juggle Gage on one hip while lifting Livi up onto the toilet, trying to help her complete her duties with one hand, not dropping Gage on his head, and keeping my new Easter (Purse) Basket off of the dirty floor all at the same time. Whew! I'm not sure how my sister (or anyone else with more than one young child) does it! Definitely exhausting.

I was pretty darned happy to see her that night! :) Anyway, I love them, and it's fun all the same. Here's some pictures......

Gager Baby and Uncle Dan. Doesn't he have the biggest brown eyes? Just like his Mommy's.

Olivia......loved the playplace. :)
